I just wanted to take the opportunity to say a HUGE thank you for the care and wonderful service you gave to our mom. The day went smoothly and even though there was lots of tears there was also lots of laughter as we remembered mom. Father Dominic conducted a beautiful service and we feel blessed you guided us in his direction. Everybody who attended moms funeral said how we did mom proud and that brings us peace. My thanks also to your team (sorry I don't remember their names) who transported us during the funeral. They were very kind and considerate. One precious memory will be how beautiful and peaceful you were able to make mom look and this will be a treasured memory for all of us.

It was a very generous and kind act, bearing in mind the amount of effort, time and organisation which must have gone beyond the scenes. All your team looked very professional, particularly the female staff in their grey attire. It felt very respectful.
The service was absolutely beautiful; the right length, perfect soloist, brilliant choice of hymns and thoughtful words. Although sad in parts, it was also strangely uplifting and it felt like a tribute to all those who had passed on. But also it reaffirmed that my Daddy did mean something and we feel very grateful as a family that we made the right choice in entrusting our Daddy into your care. Thank you for the care and sensitivity I received at both my parents and last year my Husbands funeral. I felt especially privileged to be invited to the memorial service at Olton Friary on Sunday. The preparation, time, thoughtfulness you all put into it as well as giving your well earned weekend up made it a very special day for all of us. I just wanted to say thank you for your patience and understanding at the saddest time of my life so far. You guided us through and helped us make decisions we didn't even want to think about.
On the day the cars looked amazing and the driver's were so smart. Mr Bastock was lovely and managed to get us all in the cars without us feeling rushed. I thought him walking in front of the hearse was a lovely touch and it made it even more special for my special mom. Everything went so smoothly and we got everywhere on time and I didn't even know what time of the day it was!
I was so proud of myself because I actually managed to read the Eulogy with Tina and neither of us cried.

The cars were beautiful and the conductor in front of the hearse was a heart rending touch. Your suits were elegant and all of the staff were meticulous. At the cemetery everyone was in place and all of their actions were perfectly timed. A credit to Bastocks. My mother would have been overjoyed with the whole day.
Huge thanks have to go to Anne. She was such a help to me right from day one. I couldn't have done it without her and as a bonus she made me smile. Nothing was too much trouble, she made it all slip perfectly into place in symmetry with her colleagues.

I just want to send you my deep felt thanks for everything you did behind the scenes to enable us to give daddy send-off he truly deserved.
I absolutely hate funerals with a passion & still do (because of what they represent so much please do not take this the wrong way) but Daddy’s requiem was perfect from start to finish. And a lot of that had to do with you.
From the moment I walked into Bastocks & met with you with its dignified arrangement rooms, I felt that we would be doing the right thing by daddy and you did not let us down.
You made the effort to come across and be there for me and my family. Having you there in the chapel of rest made the reality of seeing daddy in his last repose less stressful & terrifying. And I am very grateful more than words can express.
Everything flowed seamlessly on the day from the limousines arriving in good time to get us to the church, to the soloist who did a brilliant job to the beautiful flowers with the thoughtful gesture of the Bells of Ireland to the order of services (and heaven knows your patience must have been tested) to the grave being ready and to the drop off at the reception. All perfect.
I said to David on the day that you are a treasure and you truly are.

It also took a lot of the stress out of it all and was great having you there for advice and information, so thank you. The flowers were absolutely splendid, the cars and gentlemen attendants were extremely well appointed, David Bastock was great, and the ceremony itself was conducted absolutely flawlessly. Rev Lynn Granner – again, your wise judgement.

You listened to everything I said and as a result I will always feel comforted by the fact we were able to create a wonderful celebration of Carl's life, because he was a wonderful man. Dear All at Bastocks, my family & I wanted to convey our sincere thanks to you all for looking after us all so well in our hour of need when M____a passed away. Your sensitivity & professionalism was a credit to each & everyone of you: from the telephone always being answered quickly & Thio's lovely manner, to fabulous Sue, who was amazing throughout. David & his team really looked after us on the actual day of the funeral (15/3) & considering you do this all the time, you made us fell like we were most special & we really mattered. The careful recruiting & training of your staff is evident for all to see. We didn't feel any need to manage any part of this important process because you filled us with confidence right from the beginning.

I worked in this profession many years ago and often view such events with a critical eye and I can say everything was spot on.
From the welcome we got from the office staff when we visited to the day itself everything was just right. Peter, as you would expect, pitched the service just right, David led the Cortege and conducted the proceedings on the day perfectly, and Brian our driver is a great ambassador for your company and is worthy of a mention. We have had to use your services far too frequently, over the last few years and you have never let us down. Particular thanks go to Jane for the wonderful compassionate service she provides.
