Inevitably funerals have a cost. Our aim is to make our charges as clear and uncomplicated as we can. We will happily give you a no obligation quotation over the phone discussing only the details required to give you an accurate idea of the costs. You will be given the option to have the telephone quotation emailed or posted to you.
We would of course prefer you to visit our funeral home to see first hand our facilities and go through your requirements in a little more detail. Again, this will result in a written quotation for you to take away and consider.
We are aware that the quality of our premises, vehicles and staff often gives the impression we will be expensive. Yes, we pride ourselves on the quality of the funerals and we believe the standard of care we provide is second to none, but the same is not true of our costs.
Our Simple funeral starts from £1800.00 plus disbursements.* This includes;
*Disbursements are the fees a funeral director pays out on your behalf such as a Ministers fee, Doctors fees and Crematorium charges. These are always charged at cost and should not differ whichever funeral director you choose. These costs will be detailed on your quotation and added to the account for the funeral. We will not ask you to pay these yourself, we will pay these on your behalf and add the amounts to the final invoice.

As an example our Simple Funeral including the costs at Robin Hood Crematorium, a Church of England Minister
and the cost of doctors fees would be £3035.00.

- Collection of the deceased within normal working hours from anywhere in greater Birmingham or Solihull and their conveyance to our funeral home.
- Provision of our 'Dale' coffin fitted with an engraved name plate.
- Provision of the hearse, sufficient bearers and the funeral conductor to go directly to the cemetery or crematorium.
- All our professional services and time in making the arrangements, completing the legal documentation and its hand delivery to the cemetery or crematorium.
- Access to our 24 hour telephone assistance.
- The funeral date and time of your choosing, subject to our and the cemetery/crematorium availability.

As a guide;
- the fee payable to a Solihull run Crematorium is from £925, a Birmingham City Council run Crematorium is from £895
- fee for the person who takes the service will be between £190 and £240 depending on what type of service you would like.
- the fees payable to the doctor for completing cremation certificates is £82 (not always required, we will advise on each individual case)
